Workshops
This workshop is an opportunity for you to create gorgeous and unique papers to use in handmade books, boxes, gift bags, collage, etcetera!
We will be using techniques to print, paint, use paste techniques as well as marbling and stencilling. We will also have a play with Orizome, a Japanese technique of folding and dipping absorbent paper to create unique effects. You can have pure fun just creating an 'organised' mess! We will be playing on 130gsm cartridge paper A3 size, using acrylic paint, paste paint, oil paints, wax.
We will make some printing blocks out of string and wood.
Time allocation: 3 hours
Kit / Workshop Materials Inclusions:
- 20 sheets of A3 130gsm cartridge paper
- paints, inks, use of stencils, print blocks, tools
- 4 sheets of colour diffusing paper
Pre-requisite skills: Nil
What you need to bring: An apron and closed in shoes. If you have stencils or printing blocks you would like to use or share, please feel free to bring them along.
